When to apply fertilizer
A good rule of thumb for year-round fertilizer applications is:
• Easter (Early April, even late March)
• Memorial Day (Late May)
• Independence Day (4th of July) (early July)

What are the Benefits of a Fall Fertilizer Application
The benefits of fall fertilization are important. When trees and landscapes are properly fertilized in the spring/ fall, and when the landscape health is properly maintained, your lawn will be stable throughout the whole year. Once the roots of trees and shrubs take the nutrients from the fertilized soil, it's applied to the key health-promoting functions such as disease resistance, root development and strength. The excess nutrients are stored into the root system and are immediately available once new growth begins in the spring time.
